Unless you’ve been living in a cave for the past ten years, it shall come as no surprise to you when I say that we are well-established in a digitalization era. The phenomenon is worldwide and increasing in magnitude. One particularly interesting aspect of this new reality is the rapid growth of the fairly late e-commerce market. Take France for example. According to a study conducted by FEVAD, the e-commerce market increased by 14.3% in 2015, which translates into 64.9 billion euro spent on the Internet. By the end of 2016, the market will have hiked another 10% and crossed the 70 billion euro line in online sales. No wonder some have taken an interest in this novelty.

What is Formidable Ecommerçant ?

The Formidable Ecommerçant contest was initiated by WiziShop back in 2014. Its purpose is to put the spotlight on energetic and inspired online sellers. In other words, it seeks to highlight those driving our economy. As of June 21st, 2016, any French online seller can enter the conquest no matter their turnover, activity or technologies used.

What are the prizes?

Win one of the three prizes, depending on your status. You can enter as a well-established online seller, become the “formidable ecommerçant de l’année” and win over 56 000 euros worth in services. Or you can enter as a novice online website (less than 18 months) and triumph as “formidable espoir de ecommerce” while earning over 40 000 euros worth in services. Last option, for those who don’t have their website yet but plan to establish one, enter, flourish as the new “formidable projet ecommerce” and pocket over 30 000 euros worth is services.

You will be judged on October 1st, 2016 based on specific criteria such as the ergonomics of the website, the influence on social media, the webmarketing strategy, etc. The jury will declare the finalists for all three categories on October 3rd, 2016 and announce the winners on October 31st, 2016.

The prized services will be dispatched by companies like WiziShop, Target First, Hipay,, cible web, etc.

How to enter?
